Looking back to 2016, Quality Bridge & Fab, Inc. was the supplier of the steel I-beams and connections for a short “weekend” bridge replacement.

Contractors were able to close, demo, install and re-open the new bridge on a key roadway in East Pittsburgh over the weekend. QBF played a key part in this project by fabricating the steel bridge beams and diaphragms and pre-assembling for the precaster, who then precast the deck. This saved the contractor pour time in the field on this complex bridge project.

Since this initial project, QBF has fabricated and assembled several other projects for the accelerated bridge construction process allowing contractors to be more efficient and less road closure time.

Jump forward to June of 2022, this structure just left our facility, the deck with barriers were precast and installed. The pictures to the right show the modules being set in the field.
